Fall Update
Hello everyone,
I apologize for being so quiet on here lately. We have been shaking things up. I am hoping to have a bit more time to put towards blog posts in the coming months. So for now, lets just start with an update.

We have had lots of changes around the feedlot. This was the first summer we have kept all pens full for the whole summer. We have also started finishing some cattle. All of these have had their challenges and learning curves. The feedlot is starting to empty to allow us to get pens cleaned out and fixed up for the incoming cattle. The boys have been working hard to scrape pens, haul manure, refill clay, weld, and fix wood fence in the empty pens. First load of calves came in last week!

Kirkland, Garret, and I spent some time up at paddockwood pasture. We gathered, sorted, and shipped over a thousand animals in two days. Thank you to everyone who helped and all the truckers for getting the cattle to the destination safely.

We have started moving cattle home. This has involved some long hours in the saddle. Walked this group in the photo on the right 12 miles home. We have also hauled a couple replacement heifer pastures home and started weaning our young mamas to help put weight back on before winter.

We want to send a huge thank you out to all our hard working employees. You guys are awesome and make this place run smooth. Looking forward to being in the trenches with a great group of people this fall run.
Short little feedlot tour with the drone!
